Born in Caranavi in 1972, Nilda Viza hails from a family of coffee growers. Throughout her life, she has always been involved in the family business, working alongside her relatives on their plantations. Presently, Nilda takes charge of managing the family farm and offers additional assistance to her siblings and parents, particularly during the harvest period.
Nilda's coffee is renowned for being organic, cultivated and processed without the use of chemicals. While this method of cultivation is more demanding, the producer deems it necessary in order to safeguard the purity and cleanliness of the soil and water sources for future generations. These natural processes are considered essential for the preservation of the environment. The 6-hectare farm boasts an impressive array of local fauna and flora.
The soil is home to numerous species of agroecological plants, possessing medicinal and aromatic properties that serve as economic resources for the producers. The flora is diverse, comprising a mix of evergreen trees and bushes.
