Geometry Coffee is looking for a motivated and reliable Production & Roastery Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a hands on role within a busy specialty coffee roastery where you’ll gain experience across all aspects of coffee production.
No previous coffee experience is required however a keen interest in specialty coffee or Barista experience helps, we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided.
Location: MG Business Park, Tuam, Co. Galway, H54 RC64
Position: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday - Friday)
The Role
Working alongside our roasting team, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and weighing green coffee before roasting.
* Loading coffee into the roaster and assisting with daily production.
* Weighing roasted coffee and allocating it for wholesale, retail and private label orders.
* Packing, sealing and labelling coffee bags to a high standard.
* Operating our labelling machine and maintaining packaging supplies.
* Picking, packing and dispatching wholesale and Shopify orders.
* Assisting with coffee cupping sessions and preparing samples for quality control.
* Cleaning production equipment, buckets, tubs and workstations.
* Organising roasted coffee and maintaining stock rotation.
* Receiving and organising deliveries of green coffee and packaging materials.
* Carrying out daily cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the roastery.
* Maintaining high food safety, hygiene and quality standards at all times.

* Be physically comfortable lifting coffee sacks and moving boxes throughout the day.
* Be eager to learn new skills and develop within the specialty coffee industry.
* Be adaptable and willing to help wherever needed.
