Coffee Description
Asorcafe is produced in the indigenous region of Inzá, Cauca by smallholder farmers in the high altitudes of a Colombian plateau. We chose this particular washed lot was chosen for its sweet and sugary profile!
In the cup, you can expect a smooth milk chocolate base with citrus acidity reminiscent of blood oranges. Throughout the cup, you can find a raisin sweetness and a brown sugar finish. When paired with milk, milk chocolate and dates become the most prominent notes, with a hint of citrus acidity and a brown sugar finish.
Asorcafe was founded on July 11, 2003 in the town of Pedegral in Inza and currently has 290 members. The association was set up to help these producers become organised to sell their coffees as specialty, but also to provide a structure to further their education and to improve economic and social conditions for themselves, their families and their community.
